The Bacchus WL4-BP/M from the Japan Tune-up Series is a four-string electric bass featuring a distinctive burl poplar top in the KRB-BS-MH (Keiryu Blue Burst Satin) finish. Its slim WOODLINE-style body combines a nyatoh construction with a maple neck and maple fingerboard. Black body binding and Avalon shell position markers complement the instrument's appearance, while the natural variations in the burl poplar grain give each bass an individual character.
The original JB pickup set offers flexible sound adjustment through two volume controls and a master tone control. Pulling up the tone knob activates the turbo switch, connecting both pickups in series for a fuller, humbucker-like sound. In this mode, the front volume control remains active while the rear volume control is bypassed.
Additional features include a brass neck plate, a JB bridge with brass saddles, a 34-inch scale length and an open-pore finish. As part of the Japan Tune-up Series, each instrument receives individual final adjustments by experienced technicians in Japan. A gig bag, Allen wrench and certificate of authenticity are included.
