The Bacchus WL5-SPM-AC RSM/M is a five-string active electric bass from the Japan Tune-up Series, combining distinctive natural materials with versatile electronics and professional setup work. Its spalted maple top displays unique grain patterns, while the nyato body features a slim WOODLINE-inspired shape and black binding.
An original JB pickup set is paired with the Bacchus BBP2 preamp and a two-band equalizer. The control layout includes a master volume, pickup balancer, separate treble and bass controls, and a preamp on/off switch, providing flexible sound adjustment for different playing styles.
The roasted maple neck and fingerboard complement the instrument's construction, while a brass neck plate and a JB-style bridge with brass saddles complete the hardware. The open-pore finish preserves the natural appearance of the spalted maple top.
As part of the Japan Tune-up Series, each instrument receives individual setup work in Japan, including fret finishing, nut adjustment and string action optimization. With its 864 mm scale length, 400R fingerboard radius and 45 mm nut width, the WL5-SPM-AC RSM/M offers familiar five-string playing dimensions. A gig bag, Allen wrench and certificate of authenticity are included.
